The price depends on the size, single-axle or double-axle version, and the options required.
Tohaco produces air-sprung trailers in single-axle and tandem-axle versions. The choice of a single or tandem axle is based on the required loading capacity. Single axle: Tohaco gives you a choice of 1600kg or 1800kg MTM (Maximum Permissible Mass). At Tohaco, you can choose between 2700kg or 3500kg MTM for the tandem axle. Unlike conventional suspension trailers, it makes no difference to the comfort and driving characteristics of an air-sprung trailer whether you choose a single or tandem axle.
Yes. A compressor is mounted underneath the floor with an air filter and an air dryer for trouble-free operation in all weather conditions. Besides a compressor, a Tohaco trailer is also equipped with a battery to power the compressor. The battery ensures that peak currents are never demanded from the car. The car charges the trailer battery via the 13-pin plug, provided that the 13-pin plug is correctly connected. In addition, a battery charging plug is fitted to connect a battery charger.

Yes. A Tohaco trailer is fitted with shock absorbers as standard, one of the conditions for tempo-100 in Germany.
Tohaco builds trailers with air suspension in 3 categories: Motorcycle trailers (MO), Machine transporters (MA) and Car transporters (AA). But Tohaco air suspended trailers are much more multifunctional than these 3 categories suggest. Consider, for example, the transport of particularly low vehicles and machinery, fragile loads, or loads that are too heavy or high for a box truck with a lift, up to 3500kg.
Yes, because Tohaco trailers are air suspended, the loading deck can be lowered to the road surface. This allows you to easily drive loads onto the trailer. Examples include car transport, machinery transport, motorcycles, aerial work platforms, pallet transport, etc.
Yes. Because Tohaco trailers are air suspended, you can lower the trailer flush with the road surface. So, you don’t need ramps to load and unload. Besides great and safe loading ease, physical strain is eliminated.
On a Tohaco trailer you get a 2-year warranty.
See the full warranty conditions in the user documentation.
We can deliver most models from stock. If not in stock, we aim to deliver our standard range within 6 weeks. A custom-made tarpaulin or enclosed body has a longer production time.

Air suspension involves the use of air bellows for suspension instead of torsion springs, coil springs, leaf springs or parabolic springs. The main advantage of air suspension is that comfort and height can be modified by adjusting the air pressure.
In a Tohaco trailer, this is incorporated in such a way that at the push of a button, the air suspension is automatically adjusted to the current weight. Another big advantage and unique selling point of Tohaco is that the air suspension allows the trailer to be lowered to the road surface. This makes loading and unloading exceptionally easy.
Yes, you need a fully connected 13-pin plug. A fully connected 13-pin plug is also called a caravan socket. This means that not only pins 1 to 8 for the lights are connected, but also pins 9, 10, 11 and 13.
On a Tohaco trailer, these pins ensure that the air-suspension system is activated, and the trailer battery receives charging current from the car.
A trailer with air suspension differs from conventionally suspended trailers in terms of comfort, loading ease and safety. With air suspension, the trailer is always adjusted to the current weight. And this is significantly noticeable in handling, comfort, and safety.
Because the air suspension is always adjusted to the current weight, the wheels are always in contact with the road surface. Bouncing, rattling, and pushing after a speed bump are eliminated with air suspension.
Besides the superior comfort, air suspension offers another special feature: the trailer’s loading deck can be lowered flush with the road surface. This allows loading and unloading without ramps.
Come and experience the convenience and comfort for yourself by taking a test drive!
The loading capacity of a Tohaco trailer is dependent on the model and version. The maximum loading capacity is 2826kg.
Tohaco builds trailers for the BE driving licence segment. These are trailers with an MTM (Maximum Total Mass) of up to 3500kg.
Air suspension is extremely comfortable, exceptionally safe and offers great loading ease. Because the trailer floor can lower to the ground, you don’t need ramps. This eliminates the risk of driving off the ramps or to fall under a falling machine. It also eliminates rattling ramps.
Because the air suspension is always adjusted to the current weight, the trailer is extremely comfortable. Bouncing, shunting, and rattling are completely absent.
That depends on the combination of car and trailer. Do you have a category B driving licence? Then you may drive a car:
– towing a trailer of up to 750 kilos (empty weight + loading capacity);
– towing a trailer of more than 750 kilos if the car and the trailer together do not exceed 3,500 kilos (empty weight + loading capacity).
Do you have a category BE driving licence? Then you may drive a car:
– towing a trailer of up to 3,500 kilos (empty weight + loading capacity);
– under certain conditions, towing a trailer or semi-trailer exceeding 3,500 kg (empty weight + loading capacity).
Obviously, you should always take into account the maximum towing weight for the registration number of the towing vehicle.
(maximum braking force)
For weights for your driving licence, please check with your local authorities.
You need a BE driving licence if you want to tow a trailer heavier than 750 kilos (empty weight + loading capacity) and where the combined weight of the car and trailer exceeds 3,500 kilos (empty weight + loading capacity).
A Tohaco trailer has European type approval as standard. This allows registration in all European member states, but also in various other European countries that are not members of the European Union.
